Went blading at East Coast on Sunday and the place we usually practice at was covered in golden brown leaves that formed a crackly carpet over the concrete...until the bladers came and swept them all away with their powerslides and front acids...

Say Netherlands and the first thing that comes to mind is probably windmills and tulips...but for me, Netherlands = Stroopwafels!!! Yummy Caramel wafers...I just love them...they aren't sold in Singapore (sob sob!) but a nice lady at the Stroopwafel company was nice enough to send me some samples coz I emailed her to ask if they could be bought her and she was sorry that they couldn't...Heehee...have a nice stash now to last me...oh...until next month I suppose.

Took this picture on my first solo business trip to Japan...first evening in Makuhari, a convention center town in Chiba. Wandering around alone that first evening, the sight of the sky just left me breathless, and I just had to stop and capture that moment.

I really love sunsets...that time of day between day and dusk...a peaceful, quiet time when the sky resembles a painter's masterpiece with its stunning myriad of colours...that fiery red hue, mixed a little with a hint of orange,a stunning contrast to the brilliant blue canvas of sky.

Wish my picture did justice to the majesty of what I witnessed that day.

Hong Kong is one of my favourite places...mainly coz the shopping is good. Ther was a time when I'd go every year...the streets are rather dusty, but somehow the skyscrapers always look so squeaky clean, specially in the sunlight.

The height of summer. A gloriously sunny day. My first time at a beach in Japan. The water was freezing...but the sand was scorching. Quite a surprise but the feeling of plunging into icy cold water to relieve the heat reminded me of a spa...God's natural spa...right here!

It's strange, but I never knew we even HAD an orchid garden tucked away near the zoo and the night safari.

The Vanda Miss Joaquim...singapore's national flower. According to the lady I spoke to, I was lucky that day to catch the only flower left in bloom as it isn't in season right now.

A new beginning...

Last year, my dad gave me a Canon Powershot A95 for my birthday. My first very own digital camera sparked a growing interest in wanting to take pretty pictures of the things around me...suddenly the world had more detail...and I became more aware of my surroundings... I realised recently that I have taken so many photos of my travels...photos that have never made it off my computer and into an album...photos which remind me of little events and milestones that have happened in my life. This is just my little journey through life...a view of the world from my little neck of the woods...and I hope whoever stumbles upon this little corner will enjoy their stay... Here we go...
